The Sultano Spritz is born, the cocktail with ‘Per Cento’

 

It all started with the idea of Ciccio Sultano and Edoardo Strano, owner of Amara, to develop the liqueur of liqueurs. Having chosen the secret formula, the next step was to age ‘Per Cento’ in a Limoges oak barrique. Not just any barrique, though, but one from Angelo Gaja, where his Rey Chardonnay is aged. Now, it’s all up to Sultano Spritz, the cocktail that gives prestige to Cantieri Sultano where, in August, the barman Mattia Cilia transformed the lounge-laboratory of the Ciccio Sultano’s restaurant into a cocktail house.
Sultano Spritz comprises of ‘Per Cento’ (aged since 2019), coffee bitter (produced by Cilia), Soda with Selvatiq spruce and Mon Pit Blanc from the Blancs Brut by Cantine Russo.
