Knowledge means respect: Ciccio Sultano with Caritas for agriculture.
Ciccio Sultano joins the campaign “Do you know its story?” born within the Presidio project of Caritas Italiana, which, since 2014, has been fighting the exploitation of labour in agriculture.
Every day, the products of the land arrive at the table, without us knowing their history, the itinerary of fatigue and often of injustice that made possible their existence. The aim of the initiative, as the director of the Italian Caritas Fr Francesco Soddu points out: «is to foster a culture of respect for food and work. Only in this way the construction of a widespread system of legality and justice can be guaranteed».
Together with Ciccio Sultano, who has always believed that the honour of the chef passes through the honour of his suppliers, Cristina Bowerman, Roy Caceres and Andrea Incerti Vezzani also joined the campaign.
