The 2021 Guida dell’Espresso awarded Ciccio Sultano’s restaurant with the highest score: 5 hats that are good for the present, future, and past, recognizing the twenty years of innovation that have marked the career of the Sicilian chef. «We have put Sicily at the centre – Ciccio Sultano says – and translated it into all the languages. That’s because when we tell a product to the world, we need to communicate as well what we are and where we are. It’s a crucial passage. Espresso hats, stars and so on give us great pleasure, and we pin them to our chests with pride. But they must not distract us from the guests: the main focus of our work is the diner and to take care of their happiness».
