Sultano’s cusine lands at Red Bull Hangar 7, Salzburg
Until the 28th February, Austria Felix welcomes the star dishes of Ciccio Sultano at the Hangar 7 of Salzburg airport, in the 2 Michelin stars restaurant Ikarus. Sultano is literally defined as: “Modern chef transformer”, modern chef because able to translate tradition in a contemporary language and without borders.
Hangar 7 hosts, in a glass and steel structure, also a collection of historic airplanes, restaurant and flying of the Flying Bulls – jet, idro, combat aircraft from the ‘40s and ‘50s and a DC-6B which belonged to Tito – that, live, tells the story of flight.
In the photo, Ciccio Sultano is with Martin Klein, the 2 Michelin stars chef of the restaurant Ikarus, a real talent, in osmosis with the recipes of Duomo in Ragusa Ibla. With them, there is a living monument to Austrian cuisine: Eckart Witzigmann, awarded in 1994 with the title of “chef of the century”.
