Ciccio Sultano, Gambero Rosso’s restaurateur of the year

 

For the guide Ristoranti d’Italia 2020 of Gambero Rosso, Ciccio Sultano is the restaurateur of the year, sponsored by Tenute Salva Terra, Valpolicella’s winegrowers. A recognition that adds up to the three forks, reconfirmed and with a score of 92, rounded up.
A restaurant, Duomo – centre of gravity of Sultano’s galaxy together with I Banchi, Cantieri Sultano and Pastamara, bar with kitchen in Vienna just awarded three forks in the Top Italian Restaurants Special Awards 2020 – defined as a «royal stage». A real theatre for the kitchen: «…seasoned with time and history: an edible summary of the history of Sicily and its denominations. Among the best to taste today».
