Food and light, the encounter of two masters
Davide Groppi, designer, awarded two Compasso D’Oro and an honorable mention within the same prize, signed the lights of the Restaurant and Cantieri Sultano. The lamp PoPuP that illuminates the place, isolating the table and who is sitting there from the rest of the room, is his work.
«For the Restaurant of Ciccio Sultano – says Groppi – my role involved clothing a place in light and shadows, transforming it in a theatre scene where you focus on the action in progress, on what is happening.
«You have to consider the light in the same way as one of the ingredients the chef uses for his cooking.≫
