Il fascino dell’Oriente è siciliano: stesso senso dell’ospitalità, stessa antica eleganza. Dovremmo ricordarcelo di più. E, stavolta, al ristorante La Scala del The Sukthothai, insieme a David Tamburini, la magia c’è stata. Un pubblico meraviglioso, presente anche l’ambasciatore Lorenzo Galanti, un’atmosfera raffinata e la sensazione impagabile che puoi lasciare un segno nel palato e nel cuore delle persone.
Cinque pranzi, cinque cene di cui bisogna anche ringraziare, accanto allo staff di cucina e dell’albergo, Tasca d’Almerita con i suoi vini, Turkish Airlines, Wine Gallery, gli amici cuochi dei grandi alberghi della città e i miei bracci destri, Marco Corallo e Peppe Cannistrà.
Oltre alla bellezza di questi incontri e di questo albergo, riporterò con me il gusto del cocco e del pompelmo thailandesi.

The charm of the Far East is Sicilian: the same sense of hospitality, the same timeless elegance. Two worlds that fused in natural harmony over the last few days at La Scala restaurant of the Sukthothai over the last few days together with David Tamburini, filling the air with magic. A wonderful audience including ambassador Lorenzo Galanti, a refined atmosphere and a priceless feeling that left a true mark on the palates and in the hearts of the people. Five lunches, five dinners. Aside from the kitchen and restaurant staff, we would like give thanks to the wines of Tasca d’Almerita, Turkish Airlines, Wine Gallery, the chefs and the great hotels of the city and my two right arms, Marco Corallo and Peppe Cannistrà.
In addition to the indelible beauty of these culinary appointments and this hotel, I will bring back with me the distinct tastes of coconut and Thai grapefruit, flavors lingering on my tongue.
